My best friend lost her husband, and three months later, her oldest son—both to suicide.

When death arrived so suddenly, right at my doorstep, it cracked something open in me. I began questioning everything I thought I knew about the afterlife. I questioned myself.

Was what I was experiencing real?

Or was it my own psyche trying to process this unthinkable new reality?

How could I really know?

After his father passed, Brightn and I found our own rhythm—a quiet dance of caring for the younger kids, keeping the house running, holding life together as best we could. I was there almost every day. And when he died, my heart shattered.

In my grief, I made a vow:

Brightn, I will not rest until I find you.

The most beautiful part was not just that I found him—it’s that I didn’t have to look very far.

When we lose someone, the hardest part isn’t just the grief—it’s the doubt.

Is what we feel real? Is it them… or is it us?

It is from this place that I sit with you in deep compassion—for the love you carry, for the ache that doesn’t know how to go on, and for the tenderness of a heart learning how to keep breathing.

Brightn, witnessing the way you loved has changed me. You showed me that love has another octave. You left a powerful mark on my heart. And when life gets me down and my heart feels broken, bitter, or betrayed—and I want to withhold love to protect it from getting beaten up anymore—I will remember that you showed me how to do this. You showed me how to embody love's highest octave.

About the Collection:

An unthinkable tragedy shook an entire family — a father Koay Hatch, and just three months later, his son Brightn Hatch, both lost to suicide. The grief is beyond words.

This collection was created in Brightn’s honor — to carry forward his light and remind us all to speak life, love deeply, and reach every hurting soul with compassion.

100% of proceeds from this collection directly support the Hatch family, helping fund therapy and healing during this unimaginable time.
